Camp Logistics and Directions

All camps are held on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus.

Hours

Drop off time: Students should plan to arrive at 8:15 a.m. during the summer camp in time for the morning session, except for the first day. On the first day, students should arrive at 8:00 a.m. to check-in and get settled.

Pick up time: Students can be picked up between 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. but no later than 5:30 p.m. A student pick up after 5:30 p.m. will incur a $50 late fee.

Drop Off Location

Electrify Tech Camp will take place primarily at the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science building. The drop off location is at the Lurie Engineering Center. There is a drive with 15 minute parking in front of the building. Please don’t park in the Blue Parking lot near the building or you will get a ticket.

There will be a Check-In table set up inside the Lurie Engineering Center on the morning of the first day only.

Directions to Drop Off Location

From Jeffries Fwy / M-14: Take the Jeffries Freeway (west) past Interstate 275 (here the Jeffries Freeway becomes M-14). Follow M-14, remaining in the left lane to US-23 South (sign reads to Toledo, NOT Ann Arbor). Take exit 41 (Plymouth Road). Follow Plymouth Road west to the second stoplight (Huron Parkway). Turn left on Huron Parkway. At the first stoplight (Hubbard Ave, turns into Hayward), turn right. At the second stop sign, turn left onto Beal Avenue. The Lurie Engineering Center will be on your right hand side, marked by a large orange sculpture. If you plan to park all day, you will need to pay for parking (see below).

From US – 23: Take exit 41 (Plymouth Road). Follow Plymouth Road west to the second stoplight (Huron Parkway). Turn left on Huron Parkway. At the first stoplight (Hubbard Ave, turns into Hayward), turn right. At the second stop sign, turn left onto Beal Avenue. From I-94: Take US-23 North to Exit 41 (Plymouth Road). Follow Plymouth Road west to the second stoplight (Huron Parkway). Turn left on Huron Parkway. From I-96: Take I-96 east to US-23 south (exit 148A). Follow US-23 to M-14 east towards Plymouth/Toledo, NOT Ann Arbor. Follow M-14 to US-23 South (sign reads Toledo). From US-23 take Exit 41 (Plymouth Road). Follow Plymouth Road west to the second stoplight (Huron Parkway). Turn left on Huron Parkway. At the first stoplight (Hubbard Ave, turns into Hayward), turn right. At the second stop sign, turn left onto Beal Avenue. Parking (will be updated for 2024. Accepted students and families will be provided further information)

There is a drive with 15 minute parking in front of the Lurie Engineering Center. Please don’t park in the Blue Parking lot near the building or you will get a ticket. If you plan to drive and park, there are paid parking spots located at various locations around North Campus. Please refer to the North Campus Parking map, and park in any of the Visitor Parking (VP) locations.
